What is the survey?
A walk through every floor, the attic, basement and panel, a few opened outlets and a map of what is old. It ends with a written estimate.
Do I need to be home?
For the survey, yes, or someone you trust. For the work, we agree access in advance.
What does a rewire cost?
It depends on the walls, not the square footage. The pricing page lists what decides it, and the estimate gives the number.
Do you charge for the survey?
The survey has a flat fee, told to you when you book. It is credited toward the work if you go ahead.
Is knob-and-tube dangerous?
It was safe when it was installed. Age, buried insulation and later splices are the problem, and the survey separates the two.
Will my insurer care?
Some insurers ask about wiring age. We can describe the work, its date and the permit in writing.
Do you work on weekends or at night?
No. We keep weekday hours. For sparks, a burning smell or fire, call 911.
How do I check your license?
The number is in the footer. Search it with the state board, linked from the credentials section on the About page.
